Ken Cruise and his wife Sandi were both born and raised in Massachusetts. For most of his career, he traveled throughout the United States and Western Europe as a Vice President with the GM Finance Division. In the late 1980's he began his art career in oils following the teachings of William Alexander and Bob Ross, both featured as artists on PBS. In the late 1990's he switched to acrylic and watercolors. He continues to work in these mediums today. Ken took his first watercolor class in the early 2000's with the renowned watercolorist Terry Madden, also a featured PBS artist. With Terry's encouragement he attended the Terry Madden Certification program in September 2005 and became a Madden Certified teacher. Ken has sold numerous paintings throughout the United States and Canada, from landscapes, seascapes, and florals to about anything that catches his eye. In 2004 he held an exhibition of 25 watercolors consisting of various cultural and architectural folklore of Ireland. This past winter he worked with another Madden certified instructor in Florida and combined, they gave encouragement to a number of students. He currently resides and teaches in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He also resides and teaches in Florida during the winter months.
